Photographs pertaining to Gustave A. Knaebe, a Pewaukee, Wisconsin resident who served in the Korean War with the 5th Regimental Combat Team. The collection includes black and white photographs of Knaebe and his fellow squadron members at base camps and bunkers in Korea. The bunker photographs contain individual images of squadron members in the bunkers as well as artillery and ammunition used by the squadron. The camp photographs feature squadron members posing with each other and laying out their equipment for inspection. There is an interesting image where two members pose with local children. There are also several images of the surrounding scenery near the bunkers in Korea. Knaebe began active service with the Army in 1951 and was wounded in combat in 1952. After the war he settled in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.
